A little recap of what we've been up to the last couple of months!

Six of our awesome kids recently graduated from our Phase One program and are moving up to Phase Two. Learn more about what all the entails and what those six can expect over the next couple of years.

We want to give a big welcome to our newest Program Coordinator, Emondre Johnson! Read below to learn a little about him and why he’s excited to join the team!

I hope the first two and half months of 2023 have been treating you all well! This year has already been a big one for the foundation and we’re working hard to keep the momentum going. 

In the week leading up to the Big Game, we are going to play a Squares Game with proceeds going back to the Foundation!

ZeroZero is looking for another Program Coordinator to run point on our new Phase Two programs. As our kids begin to grow and journey through our ZeroZero plan, we have discovered a need for an additional Program Coordinator to oversee and nurture these relationships. This person would work at Knight Eady headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama but would be a ZeroZero employee.

I hope you all had a great holiday season and a smooth transition into the New Year. ZeroZero has hit the ground running with more events for our participants to start the year off strong!

The ZeroZero Foundation is built on the idea of hope. Take all the programs and the vision away, what runs at the very core is the hope that we ALL have been gifted with unique talents, abilities and passions that can and should be used for our betterment and the betterment of those around us. I was reminded on Saturday that sometimes a child can teach me more about hope than I can teach them.

This story taps into the optimism of sports. However, I can no longer pretend as if it’s the whole story of sports. Because in this great state that I love and in this city I have spent the last ten years in, the full story is that while sports do speak a universal language, the access and opportunity that they create is not universal.
